GRMC launches ‘iCARE Heroes’ Volunteer Program

(Monday, October 16, 2023; Dededo, Guam) Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) is now accepting applications for its new volunteer program, ‘iCARE Heroes’, which is set to launch by mid-October.

The volunteer program is open to the public for those at least 15 years of age or older. Volunteers interested in participating in the program, whether they are high school students seeking community hours or individuals looking to lend a hand, will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Must have parental authorization (for volunteers ages 15-17)
  • Must obtain court and police clearances
  • Must undergo drug test screening (to be provided and coordinated by the GRMC Human

Resources Office)

  • Provide current* immunization records (PPD, MMR, Hepatitis b, Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations)

*PPD must be current within 12 months. If positive PPD reactor, a copy of the applicant’s chest x-ray must be provided.

Participating departments where volunteers will assist include Admin/Support, Human Resources, Learning Development/Clinical Education/Employee Health, Patient Experience/Customer Relations, Marketing & Communications, Materials Management, Admissions, Quality Management, Linen & Laundry/Housekeeping, Food Services, Clinical/Ancillary, Nursing Units, Nursing Administration, Specialty Clinics, Clinical Dietary, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Patient Mobility Transport/Rehabilitation.
