Guam Regional Medical Center (GRMC) offers interdisciplinary collaboration and advanced state-of-the-art critical care neurological services to treat stroke. GRMC has successfully earned the American Heart Association (AHA) Gold-Plus Award with certification by the Joint Commission (TJC) as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center for the people of Guam and the Marianas islands. Neurovascular stroke disease remains a leading cause of long-term disability, and GRMC offers rehabilitation services all year long. Our Stroke Center consist of neurologists, neurovascular interventional radiologists, neurosurgeons, intensive care, emergency medicine physicians, nurses, radiologists, pharmacists, physical/occupational therapists, and speech-language therapists. Patients discharged home after being diagnosed with a stroke
Patients discharged home after receiving a procedure to remove a clot that was caused by a stroke
