GRMC Continues Recovery Operations Following Super Typhoon Bavi General Visitation and Outpatient Services to Resume Wednesday, July 8

(Tuesday, July 7, 2026; Dededo, Guam) – Following the declaration of Condition of Readiness (COR) 4 at 10:00 a.m. today, Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) has entered the next phase of its recovery operations and continues to safely restore hospital services following the passage of Super Typhoon Bavi. Hospital teams have been actively conducting facility assessments, restoring operations, and ensuring all clinical and support areas are safe and fully prepared to welcome patients, visitors, and employees.

Normal outpatient services will resume on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, including:

  • Outpatient clinic appointments
  • Rehabilitation Services
  • Elective Operating Room (OR) procedures
  • One-Stop Laboratory and Radiology Services
  • Cancer Center outpatient clinic appointments

Patients with appointments affected by the temporary service suspensions are being contacted directly
regarding rescheduling.

General patient visitation will also resume on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Visitors are asked to continue following all hospital visitation guidelines while supporting the comfort, safety, and healing of our patients.

GRMC’s Emergency Department, inpatient services, and other essential hospital operations continue to operate 24 hours a day, providing uninterrupted care for patients requiring emergency and inpatient medical services.

GRMC appreciates the collaboration of local agencies, emergency responders, and utility partners throughout the recovery process and will continue to monitor island conditions as recovery efforts progress. GRMC sincerely thanks our patients, employees, physicians, volunteers, and the Guam community for their patience, resilience, and unwavering support throughout Super Typhoon Bavi. We look forward to welcoming our patients and visitors back as we resume normal operations and continue providing exceptional care to our island community.
