GRMC to Suspend Visitation on Saturday due to Typhoon Champi, Outpatient Clinics Closed on Monday

(Saturday, October 17, 2026, Dededo, Guam) – As the Marianas anticipates the arrival of Typhoon Champi, Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) will temporarily suspend visitation of all patient care units beginning Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Additionally, outpatient clinics will be closed on Monday, October 19, 2026.

GRMC will continue to maintain essential hospital services, including 24/7 Emergency Room operations and inpatient care.

Upon suspension of visitation, only approved patient watchers and overnighters will be permitted to stay with the patients. GRMC advises that such individuals prepare accordingly and coordinate with hospital staff for any necessary guidance.

Outpatient services will resume on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, or until COR 4 is declared. Patients whose appointments have been affected by the events of Typhoon Champi will be contacted once outpatient clinic operations resume.

GRMC will continue to monitor conditions and provide operational updates as needed. We thank the community for their continued support and cooperation as we navigate through Typhoon Champi.
