(Monday, September 14, 2026; Dededo, Guam) – Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) proudly recognizes Aaron T. Ranck, DNP, FNP-C, on earning the Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP®) credential, a distinguished national certification that
signifies advanced expertise in the care and treatment of patients with cancer.
The AOCNP® credential is one of the highest professional certifications available to nurse practitioners specializing in oncology. Awarded through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, the credential recognizes providers who have demonstrated extensive clinical
experience, advanced oncology knowledge, and a commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered cancer care. By achieving this certification, Dr. Ranck joins an elite group of oncology providers dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of care for individuals
facing cancer diagnoses and treatment.
This achievement represents more than an additional credential. Cancer care is a rapidly evolving field that requires specialized knowledge of treatment options, symptom management, survivorship planning, and supportive care. The AOCNP® certification demonstrates advanced competency in these areas and reflects a provider’s dedication to staying current with the latest advancements in oncology, helping ensure patients receive care guided by the most up-to-date clinical practices and research.

Ranck’s journey into healthcare reflects both determination and a deep commitment to serving others. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from Montana State University before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Throughout his nursing career, he has served in a variety of clinical settings across the United States, building a strong foundation in patient care and leadership.
His professional experience includes serving as a charge nurse, travel nurse, and frontline caregiver during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ranck first joined GRMC in 2021 as a travel nurse during a critical period in healthcare. Inspired by the island community and the opportunity to make a lasting impact, he later returned to Guam as a
nurse practitioner and became part of GRMC’s Cancer Care Center team. Today, he helps guide patients through every stage of their cancer journey, from diagnosis and treatment to survivorship and ongoing support.
“Walking alongside patients and their families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives is both a privilege and a responsibility,” said Ranck. “I am grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and growing through this certification. I remain humbled by the trust our patients place in us and honored to serve our island community alongside a team deeply committed to compassionate, patient-centered cancer care.”
