Pei-Chang Liu, M.D.

Dr. Liu is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Geriatric Medicine, and the American Board of Hospital Medicine.

Biography

Dr. Pei-Chang Liu is a physician with a special interest in elderly intensive care. He is a Hospitalist who concentrates on internal medicine, critical care, and geriatric medicine.

Dr. Liu received his medical degree at National Taiwan University and earned a Master of Public Health at Harvard University. He completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at Yale and a Geriatric Fellow at Harvard where he was an Attending Physician at Harvard’s teaching hospital, the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.  He served as the Chief Medical Officer at the Tianjin United Family Hospital and the Chief Physician for the Chengdu Medical Center in China.

Dr. Liu has co-authored a number of articles in medical journals on elderly critical care including “Serotonin Syndrome in Octogenarians”; “Lumbar Puncture in Older Adults: Which Approach is Safer?” and “B-type Natriuretic Peptide in the Management of Heart Failure.”

Dr. Liu is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Geriatric Medicine, and the American Board of Hospital Medicine. He is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese.  He enjoys swimming, traveling, surfing and outdoor sports.
