(Wednesday, July 15, 2026; Dededo, Guam) – Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) is proud to recognize LinFei Yu, Nurse Practitioner, for earning the Cardiac- Vascular Nurse Practitioner (CVNP) Level IV Clinical Board Certification. The national credential recognizes advanced training and expertise in caring for patients with heart and blood vessel conditions.
This certification represents a significant professional achievement for nurse practitioners specializing in cardiovascular care. The Level IV Clinical Board Certification reflects advanced clinical knowledge, extensive experience, and a demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality care for patients with heart and vascular conditions.
At GRMC, Yu is part of the cardiovascular care team that supports patients with a wide range of heart-related health issues. Her work includes evaluating patients, assisting in diagnosis and treatment planning, monitoring cardiovascular health, educating patients about heart disease prevention and management, and collaborating closely with physicians and specialists to provide coordinated care.
Cardiovascular disease remains one of the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in Guam and throughout the Pacific region. Developing highly trained clinicians with specialized certifications is essential to improving patient outcomes, supporting early detection of heart conditions, and helping patients manage chronic cardiovascular illnesses such as hypertension, heart disease, and vascular disorders.
Certifications also reflect GRMC’s continued commitment to developing the current and future healthcare workforce- ensuring patients have access to highly trained specialists and advanced heart care close to home. Yu’s professional achievement strengthens GRMC’s ability to deliver advanced cardiovascular care locally. For patients and families in Guam, this means greater access to specialized expertise without needing to travel off island for many aspects of cardiac evaluation and ongoing care.
“We are proud to recognize LinFei for this achievement and grateful to have her as part of the GRMC team,” said Dr. Edison Manaloto, GRMC Chief Medical Officer. “Her advanced certification ensures that our patients continue to receive highly specialized, compassionate care close to home.”
Yu shared that her passion for caring for patients continues to motivate her professional growth.
“I truly love what I do,” said Yu. “Caring for patients and helping them improve their heart health is incredibly meaningful to me. This certification represents my commitment to continuing to learn and provide the best possible care for our community.”
The presence of nationally certified specialists like Yu reinforces GRMC’s mission to provide safe, high-quality healthcare delivered by highly trained professionals and advanced clinical standards.
GRMC continues to invest in professional development and advanced clinical training for its healthcare team to ensure that the island community has access to modern, evidence-based medical care.
