(Monday, December 8, 2025; Dededo, Guam) – Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) is excited to invite the community to its upcoming outreach event, “Your Gut, Our Focus: From Digestive Issues to Advanced Diagnostics”, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Micronesia Mall Center Court. This free outreach aims to help residents better understand the importance of digestive health and the advanced tools now available on the island to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal conditions.
Gastroenterology (GI) is the field of medicine that focuses on the digestive system—including the stomach, intestines, pancreas, liver, and gallbladder. Digestive health plays a key role in overall wellness, affecting everything from nutrient absorption and immunity to energy levels and quality of life. Many GI symptoms such as chronic heartburn, abdominal pain, bloating, or changes in bowel habits are commonly overlooked, but early evaluation can prevent more serious conditions, improve comfort, and enhance day-to-day living.
