Guam Regional Medical City Welcomes Dr. Jee Ah (Christina) Rhee, Pulmonologist and Intensivist,
Expert Lung, Respiratory, and Critical Care Services

(Tuesday, February 18, 2025; Dededo, Guam) — Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Jee Ah (Christina) Rhee, a board-certified pulmonologist and intensivist, to its medical team. Dr. Rhee brings her expertise in pulmonary and critical care medicine to further strengthen the hospital’s ability to care for patients with severe respiratory conditions and critical illnesses.

Originally from South Korea, Dr. Rhee joins GRMC after years of practice in the U.S. mainland, where she honed her specialized skills in pulmonary and critical care. Her impressive training includes board certifications in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine, along with a fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine from NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital. Additionally, she is highly skilled in critical care echocardiography, allowing her to assess and manage both lung and heart conditions in critically ill patients.

“I’m thrilled to join the GRMC family and work with an outstanding team of doctors and nurses,” said Dr. Rhee. “My goal is to provide top-tier care to our community, ensuring that patients with complex pulmonary and critical conditions get the best possible treatment on the island. I look forward to collaborating closely with the rest of the team to make a difference in our patients’ lives.”

Dr. Rhee’s expertise will benefit those struggling with chronic pulmonary diseases like asthma, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), and pulmonary hypertension, helping to identify issues early and create personalized treatment plans that improve long-term health. For patients facing life-threatening illnesses, Dr. Rhee will manage critical care, stabilizing patients with advanced technologies like mechanical ventilation and specialized monitoring.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Rhee join our team,” said Dr. Edison Manaloto, Chief Medical Officer at GRMC. “Her dual expertise in pulmonary and critical care allows us to continue providing even higher levels of care to patients who need intensive monitoring and life-saving treatment. We are excited about the positive impact she will have on patient outcomes.”

With Dr. Rhee’s leadership, GRMC is reinforcing its commitment to providing comprehensive pulmonary and critical care services on Guam. The hospital’s team of pulmonary specialists combined with state-of-the-art technology ensures that island residents have access to world-class care without the need to travel off-island.
