Biography

Tian Schiera, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with experience in emergency medicine and a broad clinical background in acute care, surgery, critical care, primary care, women’s health, and pediatrics. Her experience in hospital and remote island settings has strengthened her ability to evaluate and manage complex and high-acuity patients.

Schiera earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, in 2024, following completion of her Bachelor of Science in Medical Studies in 2021.

Schiera previously served as an Emergency Department Physician Associate with Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation on Saipan, caring for patients with acute medical conditions, trauma, neurologic complaints, surgical conditions, and obstetric emergencies. Her responsibilities included patient stabilization, procedural care, diagnostic evaluation, and coordination of specialty consultation and transfer when higher-level care was required. She also provided emergency medical coverage in Tinian and Rota, where she served as the primary emergency medical provider in resource limited settings. This experience included independently evaluating and stabilizing critically ill and injured patients, including those with neurologic and traumatic presentations, and coordinating aeromedical evacuation when necessary.

During her Physician Assistant training, Schiera completed clinical rotations in emergency medicine, critical care, general surgery, primary care, pediatric cardiology, psychiatry, and women’s health. Her surgical and emergency medicine experience has provided a strong foundation in the evaluation, stabilization, and ongoing care of patients with acute neurologic and surgical conditions.

At GRMC, Schiera brings her emergency and acute care experience, surgical training, and familiarity with the unique healthcare environments of the Mariana Islands to her role in neurosurgery. She is committed to providing collaborative, compassionate, and patient- centered care.

Outside of work, Schiera enjoys hiking, running, climbing, surfing, traveling, pottery, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her dog, Fern.
