Dr. Jirapat Teerakanok joins GRMC as a double board-certified rheumatologist. He earned his medical degree with Second-Class Honor in 2007 at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital in Thailand.
A year after completing his internship at the Khon Kaen Hospital in 2008, Dr. Teerakanok served as a general practitioner at the Ubonratana Community Hospital, and later at the Warinchamrap Hospital in Thailand. From 2011 to 2018, he fulfilled his residencies in Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital in Thailand, and subsequently, at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Teerakanok then completed his Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts. He last served at the Samitivej Sriracha Hospital in Thailand prior to his arrival on Guam.
Dr. Teerakanok holds licensure to practice Internal Medicine and Rheumatology in the U.S. and Thailand and is a certified clinical densitometrist. He has co-authored over a dozen peer-reviewed publications.
In his spare time, Dr. Teerakanok enjoys hiking, camping, and landscape photography.
