
Dr. Takeda is board certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the Japanese Society for Acute Medicine.
Dr. Keitaroh Takeda joins GRMC as a double board-certified emergency physician with over a decade of experience. Prior to his arrival on Guam, he served as an attending physician throughout Japan and in China. His previous assignment was at the Tokiwakai Jyoban Hospital in Fukushima, Japan.
Dr. Takeda spent most of his education and training in Sapporo, Japan; he earned his medical degree at the Hokkaido University School of Medicine in 2008, pursued his Internal Medicine Residency at the Hokkaido University Hospital a month later, and subsequently completed his Internal Medicine Fellowship at the Kinikyo-Chuo Hospital. In 2019, Dr. Takeda fulfilled his Emergency Residency at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso, Texas.
Dr. Takeda is board certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the Japanese Society for Acute Medicine. He holds licensure to practice in California, New York, Japan, and Guam.
In his spare time, Dr. Takeda loves to go hiking, skiing, and exploring different types of good food. He is a native Japanese speaker and fluent in English.
