Dr. Scott C. Dulebohn joins GRMC as a board-certified neurosurgeon with over 25 years of expertise, bringing his specialty of pain and minimally invasive surgeries to the island. He last served as the Chief of Neurosurgery at James H. Quillen Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Tennessee, where he spent most of his career.
Dr. Dulebohn earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri. He then fulfilled his Neurological Surgery residency in Peoria at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. In subsequent years, Dr. Dulebohn went on to practice and simultaneously teach in Nebraska, Minnesota, and Tennessee.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dulebohn has had great involvement with the community—providing lectures on Neurosurgery to medical students and hosting monthly outreach talks. He also published several publications in neurosurgery research and developed medical software like Emedicine.com, which became the largest online textbook for medicine in the world with integration and acceptance by the National Library of Medicine. He also co-founded StatPearls, an online and mobile application of a comprehensive board review across all fields of medicine.
Dr. Dulebohn is board certified with the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is professionally affiliated with the American Associate of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), the Tennessee Medical Association (TMA), the American Medical Association (AMA), and a member of the CNS/AANS Joint Section on Pain, Spine.
When Dr. Dulebohn isn’t with patients, he spends his time with computers, hiking, biking, and traveling with his wife, Heidi, and his dog, Jules.
