Dr. Sangalang is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is also a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
American Board of Podiatric Medicine
Dr. Maria Melinda Sangalang has worked successfully as a podiatrist both in the mainland and Guam, including at her own clinic. Dr. Sangalang studied podiatry at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. She did her residency at Southern Arizona Veteran’s Affairs Health Care System in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
After graduating, Dr. Sangalang remained in Arizona working as a podiatrist at Arizona Foot Specialists. She returned to Guam and joined Marianas Footcare Clinic. In 2013, Dr. Sangalang opened her own clinic, Island Foot Specialists, with great success. In December 2020, Dr. Sangalang closed her clinic to join GRMC full-time. We are very happy to have Dr. Sangalang at GRMC providing podiatry services to our patients.
Dr. Sangalang is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is also a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Sangalang enjoys spending time at the beach, paddle boarding, and running.
