Biography

Rock Harper is an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with a diverse
background in hospital-based, outpatient, and office-based anesthesia care. Since beginning his
career in 2007, he has provided anesthesia services across a broad range of surgical specialties
and clinical environments, including high-acuity trauma care, endoscopy, interventional
radiology, cardiothoracic surgery, neurological surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, vascular
surgery, cosmetic procedures, dentistry, and general surgery.

Harper earned his Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from Texas Wesleyan University after
completing his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Utah. His advanced education
and extensive clinical experience have prepared him to provide multiple anesthesia techniques
as both an independent provider and a member of collaborative anesthesia care teams.

He began his professional anesthesia career at Ogden Regional Medical Center, a high-acuity
trauma hospital in Utah. During his time there, Harper gained extensive experience supporting
a wide variety of procedures, including cardiothoracic, neurological, orthopedic, pediatric,
vascular, gynecologic, ophthalmic, general surgical, and interventional radiology services.
In 2018, Harper founded RockyPoint Anesthesia to provide contracted anesthesia services to
hospitals and medical offices throughout Utah and Wyoming. Through this practice, he has
supported numerous specialties, including cosmetic surgery, stem cell procedures, neurological
care, dentistry, and other office-based services. His experience as both a sole anesthesia
provider and a member of multidisciplinary care teams has strengthened his clinical judgment,
adaptability, and leadership skills.

Harper also provides anesthesia services at Ridgeline Endoscopy, where he specializes in
propofol sedation for colonoscopies and esophagogastroduodenoscopy procedures. He played
a leading role in establishing the facility’s anesthesia team, equipment, scheduling processes,
and clinical protocols.

Now at Guam Regional Medical City, Harper brings extensive anesthesia experience, clinical
leadership, and a patient-centered approach to care. He is skilled in ultrasound-guided blocks,

pain injection techniques, critical thinking, and clinical education. His approachable demeanor
and commitment to safety help patients feel informed, reassured, and supported before,
during, and after their procedures.

Outside of his professional duties, Harper values spending time with his wife and three children.
He also enjoys restoration projects, recreation, exploration, and continually learning both
within and beyond his profession.
