Dr. Roderick Ropheo Lazo Paras, MD, is a dedicated hematologist-oncologist. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology Accelerated Class at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, with honors. He earned his Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree at the same institution consistently on Dean’s List. Prior to emigrating to the U.S., he serves as volunteer physician in various medical missions.

Dr. Paras completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center/New York Medical College in New York City, New York. He pursued further specialization through a Fellowship in Medical Oncology at Allegheny General Hospital/Medical College of Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Professionally, Dr. Paras has more than 20 years experience in his specialty. He had worked mostly in the Southeast part of the U.S. (Georgia and Florida) and lately, in California. He had been a sub investigator for various clinical trials. His expertise and leadership in oncology care have earned him recognition for his commitment to advancing patient treatment and care protocols.

Fluent in Tagalog and English, Dr. Paras engages in a wide range of hobbies, including pickleball,traveling, cycling, basketball, chess, movies, and hiking.
