
Dr. Klaus Meinhof is board certified in the primary specialty of Internal Medicine as well as in the Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine sub-specialties. He served as the Associate Program Director for the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at Elmhurst Hospital, Queens, NY, and was an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NY. Dr. Meinhof has a strong background in medical research, with numerous publications focusing on lung diseases, critical care, and interventional pulmonology. Dr. Meinhof is dedicated to advancing patient care, as is reflected in his leadership roles, scholarly contributions, and commitment to medical education.

Dr. Klaus Meinhof is board certified in the primary specialty of Internal Medicine as well as in the Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine sub-specialties. He is a Testamur for Critical Care Echocardiography and has an extensive academic background that spans both Europe and the United States. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
Before joining GRMC, Dr. Meinhof served as Associate Program Director in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, New York. He also held an academic appointment as Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in medical education, mentoring students, residents, and fellows, and contributing to the advancement of pulmonary and critical care medicine through research and publications.
Now at GRMC, Dr. Meinhof is committed to enhancing pulmonary care on Guam and improving outcomes for patients with respiratory and critical conditions. His extensive experience, research contributions, and dedication to patient-centered care make him a valuable addition to the island’s healthcare community.
Outside of his medical career, he enjoys traveling with his family, reading and running. He has completed several marathons and hopes that Guam will be a stepping stone to a triathlon.
