Biography

Dr. Jordan Tropf is a board eligible Orthopedic Surgeon and U.S. Navy officer whose career bridges military medicine, advanced surgical care, research, and elite athletic achievement. He also currently serves as an orthopedic surgeon at the U.S. Naval Hospital Guam.

A graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Dr. Tropf earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as a recipient of the Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship. He went on to complete his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he also served as a Clinical Research Fellow. His training included advanced experience in trauma, joint reconstruction, and sports medicine, refining his expertise in complex shoulder, knee, and minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures. In 2024, he was selected as a Health Volunteers Overseas Orthopedics Traveling Fellow, serving at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center in Tanzania.

Dr. Tropf’s clinical practice spans sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, joint preservation, and arthroscopic surgery, with a special focus on helping athletes and active individuals return to peak performance. He has published extensively in leading orthopedic and military medical journals, presented his research nationally, and contributed to advancements in limb salvage, cartilage repair, and outcomes research for both civilian and military populations.

Dr. Tropf’s unique combination of surgical expertise, academic achievement, military service, and elite athletic performance underscores his commitment to excellence and resilience.

Outside of his professional duties, Dr. Tropf enjoys running, marathons, cycling, open water swimming, diving, and family life.
