Joeresty Abelida is an AdultGerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with deep expertise in managing critically ill adults across medical, cardiac, neurological, surgical, and trauma ICU settings. He is ACNPCAG and CCRN certified, with advanced skills in airway management, invasive procedures, hemodynamic support, and emergency response. His career spans major tertiary hospitals, where he cared for patients with complex, lifethreatening conditions and served on the frontlines throughout the COVID19 pandemic. He holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of St. La Salle. He has also contributed to national nursing research and qualityimprovement initiatives.
Joeresty Abelida is an AdultGerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in the care of adults with serious and complex medical conditions. He is certified as an AdultGerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNPCAG) and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) through the American Association of CriticalCare Nurses.
Before joining GRMC, Joeresty practiced as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner in several large tertiary institutions, including Valley Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma University Medical Center, Integris Baptist Medical Center, St. Anthony Hospital – Oklahoma, and Prisma Health in South Carolina. His training and mentorship focused on managing acute neurological emergencies such as ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, lifethreatening cardiac events, severe respiratory failure, and catastrophic multiorgan dysfunction caused by viral, fungal, and bacterial infections. He served on the frontlines throughout the COVID19 pandemic, demonstrating steadiness, accuracy, and strong team leadership in highpressure, lifesaving situations.
Joeresty is skilled in a wide range of critical care procedures, including rapid sequence intubation, mechanical ventilation, placement of invasive arterial and venous lines, dialysis support, pointofcare ultrasound, and emergency response during cardiorespiratory arrest.
He earned his Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on AdultGerontology Acute Care at Walden University in Minnesota and completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of St. La Salle in the Philippines. After certification through the American Association of CriticalCare Nurses, he dedicated his practice to caring for adults with acute and chronic lifethreatening conditions. Joeresty has also contributed to nursing research and qualityimprovement initiatives, with scholarly work presented at a national scientific symposium and published by the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists Outside of medicine, Joeresty enjoys outdoors, fishing, beach and karaoke.
