Biography

Dr. Yeh attended the University of New Orleans as a Patrick Taylor Scholar and graduated with Honors in Violin Performance and Premedical Studies. He completed Medical School and Neurosurgery Residency at the Medical College of Georgia.

As his career developed in Private Practice, Dr. Yeh became inspired by a philosophy of Patient-First care—treatment foremost guided by the kindest answers to the questions, “If necessary what surgery would I want for myself and how would I want that care delivered.” While working with the Hattiesburg Clinic, a multispecialty physician-owned practice in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Dr. Yeh started the Outpatient Spine Program in 2008 at the Lowry A. Woodall ASC and performed over 500 surgeries with two postoperative hospital admissions for pain control.

Dr. Yeh founded Central Coast Neurological Surgery PC (CCNS) in 2014, www.ccnsmed.com, a group collaboration in San Luis Obispo (SLO) including Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Spine, Interventional Neurology/Pain Management, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurophysiology, and Neuropsychology specialties. Dr. Yeh started the Outpatient Spine Program at the SLO Surgery Center in 2018 and has performed over 800 surgeries with 2 postoperative admissions for cardiac management.

From 2018 to present, Dr. Yeh introduced to SLO County the CoFLEX/CoFIX intralaminar stabilization devices as alternatives to fusion and pedicle screw/rods for the treatment of lumbar stenosis and instability, to date performing over 850 interlaminar implants. He is a champion for motion preservation spine surgery and serves as the Director of Spine Surgical Services at French Hospital Medical Center.

In 2024, Dr. Yeh started CCNS outreach in conjunction with Dr. Scott Dulebohn at GRMC, bringing novel spine surgery techniques to the Territory of Guam.

Dr. Yeh is devoted to Philanthropy and actively supports Classical Music and Medical and Visual Arts through the Aloha Piano Quartet Nonprofit Foundation www.theapq.com.
