Cycling and jogging
Dr. Carmelino Galang has more than 35 years of experience mending broken bones, patching up torn ligaments and healing bruised muscles. He is GRMC’s Orthopedic Surgeon. His experience includes joint replacements, arthroscopic knee surgery and extensive orthopedic trauma skill.
Before coming to GRMC, he spent ten years on the Orthopedic Staff at San Joaquin General Hospital in French Camp, California. He has also served on the orthopedic staffs at Kaiser Permanente in Honolulu, the VA Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia, and the Littleton Regional Hospital in Littleton, New Hampshire.
After receiving his medical degree at the University of the Philippines, he completed a Surgical Internship at the Hurley Medical Center in Flint Michigan, followed by a PM & R Residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, and then an Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship at the Ochsener Clinic in New Orleans. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and licensed to practice on Guam as well as in California, Virginia and the Philippines.
Dr. Galang enjoys cycling and jogging in his spare time.
