While simultaneously working at GRMC and the Marianas Physicians Group, Carla earned a Master of Science in Nursing and then her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Alabama in July 2020.

Carla first joined GRMC as a Family Nurse Practitioner caring for patients in different departments, including the Emergency Room and the Employee Wellness Clinic. As an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Carla began focusing on our elderly patients who have chronic or episodic illnesses and/or acute medical needs. Today, Carla is part of GRMC’s Cardiology Department in the Heart Failure Clinic, where she is part of a multidisciplinary team that treats heart failure patients.
