Dr. Angelie Santos is a board-certified nephrologist with specialized training in kidney care and interventional nephrology. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology and completed advanced training in Interventional Nephrology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. Her clinical background includes nephrology, hospital medicine, and academic medicine.
Dr. Angelie Santos is a board-certified nephrologist specializing in the diagnosis and management of kidney-related conditions. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Dr. Santos most recently completed advanced training in Interventional Nephrology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, following her Nephrology Fellowship at the same institution. She previously completed her Internal Medicine Residency at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, New York. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila, Philippines, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Santo Tomas.
Prior to joining GRMC, Dr. Santos practiced as a Nephrologist and Interventional Nephrologist with Kidney Specialists of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Her professional interests extend to research involving hemodialysis access and the management of chronic kidney disease. Her research and scholarly work have been presented at national meetings of the National Kidney Foundation, the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology, and she has contributed to publications addressing renal failure, kidney transplantation and dialysis access-related care.
Dr. Santos is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, American Society of Nephrology, American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation, and Renal Physicians Association.
