Dr. Andrew Healey is a board-certified Diagnostic Radiologist with a distinguished background in military medicine, hospital leadership, academic instruction, and diagnostic imaging. His experience spans clinical practice, radiology administration, and radiology education, allowing him to provide comprehensive imaging services while supporting multidisciplinary patient care.

Dr. Healey earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from Florida State University. He completed a Transitional Year Internship followed by a Diagnostic Radiology residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.

Throughout his military career, Dr. Healey has served in numerous leadership positions including Chief of CT, Chief of Breast Imaging, and Chief of Radiology Education at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC. He was an Assistant Professor of Radiology for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and also served as the Radiology Officer in Charge (OIC) at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center Role III Hospital while deployed to Iraq with the 528th Field Hospital. When stationed at Camp Humphreys in South Korea, he was the 121 st Field Hospital Radiology OIC, and Chief of CT at the Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital. His leadership has focused on advancing radiology services, clinical education, and patient care in both military and civilian healthcare settings.

After leaving the military, he completed a Neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin where he received specialized training in advanced neuroimaging techniques and the diagnosis of complex neurologic disorders. He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Society of Neuroradiology, American Society of Head and Neck Radiology.

Now at GRMC, Dr. Healey provides expert diagnostic imaging services with a commitment to accuracy, collaboration, and patient-centered care. His extensive experience in radiology, leadership, and education enables him to support referring physicians and patients through timely, high-quality diagnostic interpretation. Outside of his professional duties, Dr. Healey enjoys spending time with his family (wife, daughter and golden retriever), exercising, hiking, soccer, reading and trying to learn the violin.
