Dr. Ali Asim Pitafi is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with extensive experience in hospital medicine and caring for patients with complex medical conditions. He has worked in hospital settings across the United States and has experience caring for critically ill patients, including those requiring intensive and cardiac care.
Dr. Ali Asim Pitafi is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with a Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine. He has extensive experience caring for hospitalized patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including patients who require intensive care and cardiac care. Dr. Pitafi earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. He then completed a one-year rotating internship at Mayo Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan, followed by his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Presbyterian-Shadyside, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Pitafi has many years of experience in hospital medicine. He previously served as a Staff Physician in the Hospitalist Section at the VA Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where he worked as part of a multidisciplinary team caring for patients with complex medical needs. He has also worked as a hospitalist and locum physician at medical centers in Texas and Minnesota.
Throughout his career, Dr. Pitafi has cared for patients with both routine and complex medical conditions, including critically ill patients requiring ventilators, medications to support blood pressure, and treatment in intensive care settings. His background in hospital medicine allows him to work closely with other specialists and healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients during their hospital stay.
