Dr. Jon Goldstein is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon with more than a decade of experience in military, international, and civilian medicine. A former U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and chief surgeon at multiple overseas bases, he now practices at GRMC, where he provides advanced orthopedic care with a focus on surgical excellence, patient safety, and compassionate treatment.

Biography

Dr. Jon Goldstein is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon bringing his broad international, military, and civilian expertise to GRMC. His career spans clinical practice, academic teaching, and leadership roles across the United States, Asia, and Europe.

Dr. Goldstein earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, before completing his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium–Brooke Army Medical Center, one of the nation’s top military training centers. He previously earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Serving in the U.S. Air Force for over a decade, Dr. Goldstein rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and held multiple leadership positions, including Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Yokota Air Base in Japan, Osan Air Base in South Korea, and RAF Lakenheath in the United Kingdom. He later served as Chief of the Department of Surgery at RAF Lakenheath and was also an Honorary Consultant with the UK National Health Service. His leadership extended beyond clinical care, as he served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University and as an academic committee member for the Japanese Physician Fellowship Program.

Dr. Goldstein is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He has authored peer-reviewed research in journals such as the Spine Journal and the U.S. Army Medical Department Journal and has presented podium and poster sessions at national orthopedic conferences.

At GRMC, Dr. Goldstein is committed to delivering world-class orthopedic care to Guam and Micronesia, offering expertise in trauma, sports medicine, joint injuries, and complex surgical cases.

Outside of his professional duties, Dr. Goldstein enjoys golf, traveling, and cheering for the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers.
