Biography

Melinda D. Ong, APRN, FNP-C, PCCN, BSN is a compassionate and skilled nurse practitioner with more than 16 years of nursing experience in acute and progressive care nursing, specializing in cardiology and post-anesthesia recovery.

She recently advanced her career by earning her Master of Science in Nursing, becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), and now provides primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention.

Melinda’s extensive clinical background includes expertise in managing complex patient cases involving heart failure, diabetes, hypertension, stroke, renal disease, and multiple chronic or acute conditions. She is proficient in interpreting ECGs, reading cardiac rhythms, and operating specialized equipment such as pulmonary hypertension infusion pumps and advanced vital sign monitors. Her work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and cardiac progressive care settings has honed her skills in post-operative monitoring, medication administration, and advanced life support protocols.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Melinda is recognized for her leadership and mentorship. She has served as a charge nurse, preceptor, and mentor, guiding nursing staff while fostering a culture of teamwork and patient-centered care.
