(Wednesday, February 4, 2026; Dededo, Guam) – Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) is proud to welcome Dr. Joseph Herring, a Diagnostic Radiologist with advanced fellowship training in Body Imaging, to its growing team of specialists. Dr. Herring is now providing full-time radiologic services at GRMC, a major step forward in strengthening timely access to imaging and diagnostic support for patients across Guam.
Dr. Herring earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed extensive postgraduate training, including an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine (UF Health). He then completed Diagnostic Radiology residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons/Harlem Hospital Center, followed by a Body Imaging Fellowship at the University of Washington Department of Radiology.
Prior to joining GRMC, Dr. Herring supported radiology services through teleradiology positions, contributing to timely imaging reads and continuity of care for healthcare teams. He has also been involved in research, presentations, and quality improvement initiatives, including work-related to structured reporting and imaging quality, reflecting his dedication to clinical excellence and patient safety.
“I’m truly grateful to join GRMC and become part of a team that is deeply committed to serving this community,” said Dr. Herring. “I’m excited to provide full-time radiology services on Guam and support both patients and providers with timely, accurate imaging that helps guide the best possible care. It’s an honor to contribute to GRMC’s mission and strengthen access to high-quality diagnostic services for the island.”
