(Monday, January 5, 2026; Dededo, Guam) – Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) proudly congratulates Jennifer Sevilla, GRMC Medical Staff Recruiting & Services Manager, for earning her Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CPRP) certification from the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR). The certification was officially issued on October 5, 2025.

This national recognition highlights Jennifer’s professional excellence and advanced expertise in physician and provider recruitment — from candidate sourcing and onboarding to workforce planning, retention, and compliance.
About the AAPPR and the CPRP Certification
The Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR) is the leading professional organization dedicated to supporting and certifying in-house recruitment professionals across the United States. Its CPRP certification is a nationally recognized credential awarded to professionals who demonstrate mastery of the provider recruitment lifecycle, including candidate screening, hiring, onboarding, retention, and workforce analytics.
To obtain certification, candidates must complete a comprehensive education program and pass a rigorous national examination covering topics such as candidate sourcing, onboarding, compensation & benchmarking data, immigration/visa processes for international medical graduates (IMGs), diversity and inclusion in recruitment, legislation & litigation.
By earning this credential, Sevilla joins an elite network of certified recruitment professionals who uphold the highest standards of excellence and integrity in healthcare talent acquisition.
A Career of Dedication and Growth
Sevilla began her healthcare career in 1993 at Guam Memorial Hospital, where she developed a strong foundation managing the Medical Staff office and helping to support clinical operations. She joined GRMC in March 2018 as Medical Staff Support Manager, drawn to the hospital’s mission to expand subspecialty healthcare services on Guam — particularly in Cancer Care, a field close to her heart following the loss of her mother to the disease.
In 2021, Sevilla took on an additional role as Medical Staff Recruiter, expanding her leadership in strengthening GRMC’s medical workforce. Among her notable accomplishments are helping recruit providers who enhance GRMC’s specialty services in Interventional Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Hematology/Oncology, significantly improving access to advanced medical care for the island community.
“Working at GRMC has afforded me the opportunity to expand my knowledge in both medical staff services management and healthcare recruiting,” Sevilla shared. “I find personal satisfaction in knowing that our work allows the people of Guam to receive specialized care close to home, surrounded by their loved ones.”
Commitment to Professional Excellence
Jennifer was inspired to pursue the CPRP certification after attending a national provider recruitment conference, where she recognized the value of bringing nationally benchmarked recruitment practices to Guam. She expressed gratitude to Dr. Edison Manaloto, GRMC’s Chief Medical Officer, for encouraging and supporting her professional development journey.
“The certification process strengthened my understanding of national standards and best practices in provider recruitment,” said Sevilla. “It equips us to stay informed about emerging trends and ensures GRMC continues to attract and retain exceptional healthcare professionals for our island community.”
“Jennifer’s achievement is a proud moment for GRMC,” said Dr. Edison Manaloto, GRMC Chief Medical Officer. “Her dedication to excellence and professional growth directly supports our mission of bringing world-class healthcare to Guam. Through her expertise, we continue to build a team of highly skilled, compassionate providers who serve our island with commitment, integrity, and care. This certification not only highlights Jennifer’s capabilities but also reinforces GRMC’s leadership in advancing healthcare workforce standards in our region.”
“I would encourage others in healthcare recruitment to challenge themselves to reach new heights in their professional careers,” Sevilla added. “I’m proud to bring this knowledge back to GRMC and to continue learning and growing in service to our community.”
Sevilla’s achievement reflects GRMC’s commitment to continuous learning, workforce development, and the highest standards of patient-centered care. Through her leadership, the Medical Staff Recruiting & Services team plays an essential role in building and sustaining a highly qualified network of physicians and providers dedicated to serving Guam and Micronesia.
GRMC proudly celebrates Sevilla’s accomplishment as a milestone that underscores both her dedication and the hospital’s ongoing commitment to developing Guam’s healthcare workforce. Her success marks a meaningful step forward in ensuring quality, accessible care for the island and the region.
