(Wednesday, November 5, 2025; Dededo, Guam) – Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) proudly recognizes Angelina “Angie” Eustaquio, PharmD, BCPS, CPEL, GRMC Pharmacy Director, for earning the Certified Pharmacy Executive Leader (CPEL) credential from the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) through the prestigious ASHP Capstone Pharmacy Leadership Program.
The ASHP CPEL program is a rigorous, executive-level leadership development course designed to equip pharmacy leaders with advanced skills in strategic management, healthcare operations, and system-wide leadership. Achieving this credential signifies national recognition of Eustaquio’s excellence in professionalism, leading people, managing pharmacy operations, and guiding within complex healthcare systems.
Eustaquio’s career has been defined by her commitment to advancing pharmacy practice and elevating patient care in Guam. She has previously launched the first clinical pharmacy services and a peer residency program at the Guam Memorial Hospital, developing homegrown pharmacists who provided clinical pharmacy services in all adult units. Today, she continues her leadership journey at Guam Regional Medical City by expanding the hospital’s comprehensive cancer care services and helping
establish an outpatient and specialty pharmacy to provide local access to much-needed oncology treatments.
Eustaquio shares that her experiences have shaped her unique perspective as a healthcare leader. Reflecting on her experience in the ASHP CPEL program, she shared that connecting with other pharmacy executives, even despite time zone and geographic differences, has provided valuable insights and a lasting professional network she can draw upon to address complex issues unique to the island’s healthcare landscape.
“This recognition is deeply meaningful to me because it represents not just a professional milestone, but a reflection of my lifelong commitment to serving others through pharmacy,” said Eustaquio. “The program has strengthened my ability to lead with purpose, advocate for my team, and elevate the standard of care we provide to our patients. I’m grateful to GRMC for fostering an environment that values growth and leadership, and I’m proud to bring this achievement home to my island,” Eustaquio added.
