Every Breath Counts: Care for Asthma, COPD, and Respiratory Wellness

(Monday, September 15, 2025; Dededo, Guam) – Guam Regional Medical City (GRMC) is inviting the
community to attend its next outreach event, Every Breath Counts: Care for Asthma, COPD, and Respiratory
Wellness, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Micronesia Mall, Old JP
Superstore. This free event is open to the public and focuses on raising awareness about lung health, including
asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other respiratory conditions.

10:30 AM to 11:15 AM: PRESENTATION & Q&A
Educational presentations will be led by GRMC’s Pulmonology team:
• Dr. Klaus Meinhof, Pulmonologist
• Robert Sales, Respiratory Therapist
These specialists will share important insights into respiratory health, risk factors, and treatments, as well as
tips on prevention and management of common lung conditions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to
ask questions during a live Q&A session following the presentations.

This event aims to empower individuals and families to take charge of their respiratory wellness by providing
access to expert guidance, preventive resources, and community support.
“Lung health often goes unnoticed until symptoms appear,” says Dr. Meinhof. “By offering education, we want
to give our community the tools to better understand, protect, and strengthen their respiratory health.
Asthma, COPD, and other lung conditions can have a major impact on daily life, but with proper knowledge
and care, patients can manage their conditions and live healthier lives. This outreach is about making that care
more accessible.”
