Andrew E. Blakley, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Andrew E. Blakley is a licensed RN and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the Guam Board of Nurse Examiners. He is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center.

Biography

Andrew began his medical career as a Hospital Corpsman while serving in the United States Navy.  He spent much of his enlisted career in Guam working with HSC-25. After departing the Navy, he continued his medical career as an Emergency Room Technician before receiving his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and becoming a Registered Nurse.  Andrew’s first position as a Registered Nurse was within the Level I Trauma and Burn ICU at the University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

He continued to focus on Critical Care Nursing while working as a travel nurse from 2014 – 2016, where he served critically ill patients and their families throughout the US. While working on his Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner, he expanded his scope of services as an RN Case Manager for a hospice and palliative care organization in Amarillo, Texas.

In 2018, Andrew completed his Master of Science from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.  He then accepted a position working with The Weingarten Institute for Neuroscience and returned to Guam.  In 2020, Andrew joined the GRMC team as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), or Nurse Practitioner. He was assigned to our Emergency Department and helped during the height of our Covid response before transferring to General Surgery to assist with surgical patients.

Andrew is a member of the Guam Association of Advanced Practice Nurses, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, the American Heart Association, and the American Association of Emergency Nurse Practitioners. He is a licensed RN and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the Guam Board of Nurse Examiners. He is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center.

When not caring for patients, Andrew is an outdoor enthusiast and avid runner. He is also an accomplished traveler, craftsman, and artist.
