Dr. Weerawat Tananusont graduated from Mahidol University, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital in Thailand with a Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Tananusont practiced at Hatyai Hospital and Krasaesin Hospital, both in Thailand as a general practitioner prior to starting his residency training.

He finished his Internal Medicine internship at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his Internal Medicine residency St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was awarded Resident Teacher of the Year 2010 – 2011. During the three years of his training, Dr. Tananusont scored in the 99th percentile on the national in-training exams.

Prior to coming to GRMC, he was a hospitalist at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota.
Dr. Tananusont is board certified in Internal Medicine. When not practicing medicine, he enjoys playing table tennis, basketball, backpacking and traveling. He is interested in farming and owns a citrus orchard in Thailand.
