Dr. Michael Agustin is a Pulmonologist and Critical Care Physician committed to diagnosing and managing lung diseases and life-threatening conditions.
He comes to GRMC after completing a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship program at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston, a Tufts University teaching hospital. His Residency in Internal Medicine was spent at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, affiliated with Brown University’s medical school. Dr. Agustin was named Intern of the Year in 2011 and Resident of the year in 2013. He received his medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas.
During his training, Dr. Agustin presented studies on sepsis, breathlessness in obesity and endobronchial ultrasound for lung cancer at various international conferences. He has a special interest in diffuse lung diseases, COPD, lung cancer, asthma and lung infections. He is skilled in the performance of endobronchial and pleural procedures.
Dr. Agustin is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease. He holds Medical Training licenses in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and the Philippines
